Mildred (Mangosh) Morris
Mildred (Mangosh) Morris, age 85, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away suddenly on Thursday morning, July 14, 2011 in Uniontown Hospital.
She was born March 15, 1926 in West Leisenring, Pa., the daughter of the late Valentine and Mary (Mendler) Mangosh.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband William S. Morris Sr., on April 26, 2010, brother Frederick ‘Ed’ Mangosh, sister Sophia Waldron, great – grandson Ashton Matthew Morris.
Mildred was a member of St. Mary Nativity R.C. Church. She was a 1944 graduate of the former Dunbar High School. She loved cooking. There was nobody that loved animals more than Mildred. She loved all animals and this was instilled at a young age as she grew up on a farm. She worked at Anchor Hocking, Simpson Tile and Linen, Dimarco’s Potato Chips and the Gallatin National Bank.
She is survived by her loving children: William Morris Jr. and wife Rose Marie of Uniontown, Ronald Morris of Uniontown and Donald Morris of Uniontown; grandchildren: William Morris III and wife Angie of Uniontown and Christopher Morris of Uniontown; great-grandchildren: Mollee and Katelin Morris; brother, Edward ‘Ted’ Mangosh and wife Anita of Painesville, Ohio; sister-in-law, Cecelia Morris of Dunbar Township; several loving nieces and nephews; other relatives; friends and her loving dog, Daisy.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown Sunday, July 17, 2011 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday morning until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Nativity R. C. Church with Rev. Father Stephen R. Bugay as celebrant.
Interment follows in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery. A Parish Wake will be held this evening at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
