By The Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

Authorities are investigating the death of a West Virginia man at a gas well drilling site in Franklin Township, Greene County, early Friday morning.

Kerry Edward Duncan, 20, of Amma, W.Va., who might have been electrocuted, was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:05 a.m., by Greene County Coroner Gregory P. Rohanna.

Duncan might have been electrocuted at a fuel pump at the site, Rohanna said, noting that he was dispatched at 4:20 a.m.

Target Drilling of Smithton is the well drilling contractor at the site, Rohanna said.

State police, the federal Occupational Safety and Health Agency Administration and the coroner’s office are investigating the death.

The state Department of Environmental Protection also responded to the scene and found no environmental issues related to the incident.
