Mary Grace Rile
Mary Grace Rile, age 78, of California, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, during a brief stay at Family Hospice and Compassionate Care Center in Mt. Lebanon, PA.
She is survived by her loving husband of fifty-five years, Thomas S. Rile.
They made their home in Aliquippa, PA for forty-seven years before moving to California, PA to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Mary Grace was born on December 22, 1932, the daughter of Mary Ann ‘Marie’ and Patrick Hallisey.
She was preceded in death by both parents, brothers, Robert, Patrick and sister-in-law, Cleo Hallisey.
Mrs. Rile was a 1951 graduate of St. Veronica High School. She was employed by American Bridge Co., where she met her husband at Gimbels Department Store, where she developed her favorite pastime, shopping. She was a member of St. Titus Church, Aliquippa, PA for most of her life and most recently St. Thomas Aquinas, California, PA.
Besides her husband she, is survived by four children: Mary Ann Taylor and husband, Sam of Brownsville, PA, Cathleen Medofer and husband, Albert of Brownsville, PA, Timothy Rile and wife, Julie of Murrysville, PA, James Rile and wife, Heather of Morgantown, WV.
Her seven grandchildren were her pride and joy. They are Erika and Dana Taylor, Jessie and Joanna Medofer, and Jonathan, Brendan and Ethan Rile and a brother, Regis Hallisey and wife, Janice of Houston, TX.
Friends are welcome at the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park St., Brownsville, PA on Friday, July 29, 2011 from 9 AM till 11 AM, the hour of service with the Rev. Father George Moneck officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Aliquippa, PA.
