Fayette County Prison warden: seven inmates housed in Greene County

By Heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

The warden of Fayette County Prison said Wednesday that there are seven inmates being housed in a neighboring county’s lockup.

Warden Brian Miller said during the monthly meeting of the prison board that there are 274 inmates in Fayette County’s custody.

Four men and three women are being housed in Greene County Prison, Miller said.

The total number of inmates is down from 333 one year ago, Miller said.

Over the years, the population has waxed and waned as the courts and prison officials have tried different programs to keep the number of inmates at a manageable level.

“It’s going real good,” Miller said.

“Knock on wood,” said board member Commissioner Vincent Zapotosky.

In other matters, the board accepted the resignations of part-time corrections officers Harvey Field and Mina Donato, and hired Ronald Wadsworth and Eudoxia Hennigan as part-time corrections officers.

They will both make $15.17 hourly, said Dominick Carnicella, the county’s human resource director with Felice Associates Inc.
