Anthony Keith Hewitt, age 49 of Tallahassee, Fla., passed on to glory at his home in Tallahassee, Fla., Tuesday, July 19, 2011.

Keith was born June 28, 1962 to the late Charlotte Mae (Thomas) Hewitt and Robert Lee Hewitt, Jr. in Brownsville, Pennsylvania.

Keith was a graduate of Brownsville Area H. S. and Florida A & M College. He served in the U.S. Army and earned the rank of 2nd Lt. He was employed at the IRS, the Winggate Hotel and was a popular Dee Jay in his free time.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents Rev. William H. Thomas, Sr., Cornelia Thomas, Robert Lee Hewitt, Sr. and Amanda Hewitt, a brother Lance Hewitt and an aunt Virginia Fields ‘Aunt Bebe’.

He is survived by his children: Brianna Cherrelle and mother Sonya Nelson, Matthew Cornelius and Evan Bradley Hewitt and mother Tracey Hewitt; step-mother Cheryl Hewitt; sisters: Debra A. Thomas, Donna M. Foman (Reginald) and Marla R. Hewitt; special relatives: Wayne Hewitt, Harold S. Thomas (Diana), Edward Thomas (Deborah), Shirley A. Wall, Bowman Thomas (Frances), Carl Thomas (Janet), Clarence Thomas (Bernice), James Thomas (Marlella), Kenneth Thomas (Mindi) and Carmella Thomas and a host of relatives and friends and the Tallahassee family.

Keith was cared for and admired by many and loved by most. He loved his family, friends, his music and his Steelers.

Friends will be received at the NEW BEGINNINGS FULL GOSPEL CHURCH 93 Jefferson Street, Uniontown on Monday, August 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Hour of service with Bishop Leonard Tucker officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 E. Main St., Uniontown, Pa.
