Pyle Wade Retired Ruby Hospital Nurse

E. Sherlene Pyle Wade, 78, of Mount Morris, Pa., died at 10:55 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on Saturday, March 25, 1933 in Blacksville, WestVirginia a Daughter of the late William F. Pyle and Esther Pearl Pyle.

Mrs. Wade was a member of the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle, Assembly of God. Mrs. Wade was community minded and was very patriotic. She was always active in the Republican Party and was past Republican Committee Person of Perry Twp. She was a Charter member of the Mason-Dixon Park and a member of the James T. Maxon American Legion auxillary.

She was a graduate of Clay Battelle High School, class of 1951 and was a former member of the Clay Battelle Alumni Association. She was Past President of the Parents Teachers Together and Waynesburg Central High School Band Booster’s.

Mrs. Wade was founder of the Mt. Morris Christmas Parade over 35 years ago. Her passion was organizing many class and family reunions.

She was on the nursing staff at the W.V. University Hospital and later the Ruby Memorial Hospital for 15 years. She was also a correspondent for the Greene Co. Messenger for several years and was a Homemaker.

She is survived by her Husband: Marion J. Wade, whom she married on May 23, 1951 having just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Also surviving are one Daughter and her Husband: Bridget Ann and Greg Montgomery of Mt. Morris, Pa.; one Grandson Benjamin Wade Montgomery; one Brother Donald R. Pyle, of Mt. Morris, Pa.; one Nephew Joe Ross Pyle; two Great Nephews: Aaron Pyle and Andrew Pyle

Friends will be received from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2011 in MILLIKEN AND THROCK-MORTON F.H., Inc. Daryl L. Throckmorton Owner-Director 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478 Mount Morris, PA 15349

There will be additional visitation on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at the MT. MORRIS GOSPEL TABERNACLE ASSEMBLY OF GOD CHURCH from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., the hour of the service with Rev. Fred Tomlinson and Rev. Milford Watters officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris, Pa. Information is online at www.milliken-throckmortonfh.com
