Route 88 rock clearing ahead of schedule
EAST BETHLEHEM TWP. — A rockslide that closed Route 88 following heavy rains May 13 is all but cleared from the roadway.
According to PennDOT officials, additional work is needed before the road reopens, but the large boulders are gone. It was originally expected to take three to four weeks to clear the slide and reopen the road.
