Connellsville man killed in Westmoreland County crash

?A Connellsville man was killed and another man critically injured Tuesday night when the car they were in crashed in Westmoreland County.

Police said the driver, Nicholas Habina, 18, was killed in the one-vehicle crash on Thompson Road in Donegal Township. He was pronounced dead at the scene by officials from the Westmoreland County Coroner’s office.

Jesse Eutsey, 18, also of Connellsville, suffered serious injuries. He was flown to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh, where he remains in critical condition.

Police said the crash occurred when a sport utility vehicle overturned as the men were on their way home from a store.

Both men were thrown about 100 feet from the vehicle as it rolled, police said. Police noted that neither man was wearing a seat belt.

Further details regarding the crash were not available. Police are continuing to investigate.
