Reminder issued about burning regulations
?Connellsville Township supervisors want to remind township residents that opening burning of trees, logs and leaves is not permitted during June, July or August.
Anyone found in violation of the township ordinance is subject to a maximum fine of $300. A second fine will be imposed if the Connellsville Township Volunteer Fire Company or a neighboring fire or police department is required to extinguish the fire. Violators can be charged a minimum fee of $600 plus a $200 township administration fee, according to the ordinance.
