Cumberland supervisors approve hauling agreement

Cumberland Township supervisors approved heavy hauling agreement with a company building a Marcellus shale gas pipeline.

?Supervisors approved the agreement covering Woodrings Road, Hathaway Road, Tin Can Hollow Road and Air Shaft Road with Laurel Mountain Midstream, which is jointly owned by gas exploration companies Chevron and Williams.

In other township business Monday, the supervisors agreed to make Hill Top Road in Nemacolin a two-way street after residents from the area submitted a petition requesting the change.

Nemacolin residents also complained about people speeding through neighborhoods riding all-terrain vehicles and dirt bikes.

Supervisors said the police department would look into the complaint.
