Karl F. ‘Fuzz’ Kovach
Karl F. ‘Fuzz’ Kovach, 81, of Uniontown went to be with our Lord Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born October 15, 1929 in Hopwood, son of the late Joseph P. and Amelia (Piletic) Kovach.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Hileman and a sister-in-law, Thelma Kovach.
Surviving are his loving wife, Dorothy Jean (Sewart) Kovach; four children: Susan Keffer and husband, Paul, Robert C. Kovach and wife, Darlene, Joy Marovic and husband, Bill all of Uniontown and Jeanine Williamson and husband, David of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren: Brian Keffer and fiancee’, Heather Christopher of Connellsville, Amy Livingston and fiance’, Wesley Sparks, Joe Kovach and fiancee’, Lindsey Mansberry, Carl Kovach, Mary Kovach all of Uniontown, John Anderson and wife, Nicole of Perryopolis, Joby Anderson and fiancee’, Nicole Warnick of Uniontown, Robby Broome and Stephanie Broome both of Cincinnati, Ohio; three great-grandchildren: Kolby and Krew Livingston and Gavin Kovach; two brothers and two sisters: Joseph Kovach, Robert Kovach both of Hopwood, Eleanor Sillett and husband, George of Seven Hills, Ohio and Judy Giamo and husband, Sam of Parma, Ohio.
Karl was retired from U.S. Steel, Irvin Works. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army infantry.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and bird watching.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood today from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of the service with Rev. Nicholas Cook officiating.
Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
AMVETS Post 103 Hopwood will accord military services at graveside.
