PennDOT announces work schedule
Chris Sleighter, Fayette County manager with the state Department of Transportation, has announced tentative work plans for the week beginning Monday.
The schedule is as follows:
?n The bridge crew will be doing deck repairs on state Route 3012 (York Run Road).
?n Patching is scheduled on various state roads in the Fairchance area.
?n Shoulder cutting is scheduled on state routes 1051, 1015 and 1017 in the Breakneck area.
?n Bridge flushing is scheduled on various state roads in the Rubles Mill area.
?n Surface treatment is scheduled on state routes 2001, 2002 and 2003 in the Elliottsville area.
?n Inlet repair is scheduled on state Route 119 (Sycamore to Big Six).
?n Pipe repair is scheduled on state Route 4014 (Peanut).
?n Ditch cleaning is scheduled on state Route 1024 (Stockyard Road).
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and work orders will be addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
All maintenance activities are conducted as the weather permits.
PennDOT said motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights.
PennDOT has a 24-hour toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern.
The number also can be used to report locations of dead deer on state highways.
