Write-ins affect Washington races

1 min read

Write-in votes are making a difference in several Washington County communities.

With the official tally now available, Washington County Election director Larry Spahr confirmed the winners. In East Bethlehem Township Democratic incumbent Paul Battaglini defeated his two Democratic challengers in the primary election, but will face competition for the at-large seat for township commissioner from Republican write-in candidate Leann Marcolini, a former Bethlehem Center School Board member.

For information on additonal races, see the full story in Tuesday’s Herald-Standard.
