Ruby May Mitchell Gardner, 74 of Normalville, Pa. died Thursday, June 16, 2011 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, West Virginia.

She was born March 25, 1937 in Uniontown, Pa.

Preceding her in death were her parents Ewing and Ellen Mitchell, her husband Thomas Eugene Gardner, Sr. and six siblings: Hannah, Ellen, Violet, Samuel, Ewing and Isadore.

Surviving are five children: Cindy Long and friend Andy Lilley, Debbie Blaney and husband Roger, Thomas Gardner, Jr., Rodney Gardner and wife Deloris and Melinda McMillen and husband Bob; 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, Pa. today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday until 11 a.m., the Hour of Service with Rev. Jimmy Dice officiating.

Interment will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
