‘Lew’ Steele, 84, a longtime resident of Santa Monica passed away peacefully in a Hospice facility in Los Angeles California on Friday, June 10, 2011 from complications associated with cancer.

He was born in Brownsville, Pennsylvania o n F r i d a y, October 22, 1926.

He served in the United States Army during World War II and obtained undergraduate degree in the early 1950’s from Penn State University.

‘Lew’ enjoyed life to the fullest and enjoyed spending time with all of his special friends in Southern California.

He is survived by a brother Howard; a niece, Bonnie of Sacramento, California; and a nephew, Bob and wife Sandy and their daughters Kelly and Keri of Santa Rosa, California.

He will be interred in Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, California.
