By Josh Krysak heraldstandard.Com 1 min read

All charges were dismissed today against a South Union Township man accused of stealing $500 from his girlfriend and then punching her in the face repeatedly for answering her cell phone.

Uniontown police Officer Frederick Kampert said Alfonso Pugh, 24, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Dwight K. Shaner with robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault and 15 additional charges.

Magisterial District Judge Michael M. Metros dismissed the charges against Pugh after Heilman, wearing sunglasses covering large bruises under her eyes, refused to testify against Pugh during a preliminary hearing this afternoon.
