Christopher Paul Zampatti
Christopher Paul Zampatti, 59, of Layton passed away Saturday, June 18, 2011 at his home with his loving family by his side.
He was born October 21, 1952 in Charleroi, to the late Mary Kossel Zampatti and Joseph David Zampatti.
He was a Disabled American Veteran of the Vietnam War, member of the J.E. Golf League and the Perryopolis Moose Golf League. He was a member of Perryopolis Moose Lodge 92, Sons of Italy, Sokols and Naomi Club.
During his life, he was also a very avid guitarist, fisherman and golfer.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Sharon Livingston Zampatti; son, Brian Joseph Zampatti; step-children: Ron Sayko and Dawn Miller; sister, Nancy Crinnion; brother, David and wife, Karen; brother, Gordon; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Livingston; brother-in-law, Charles Livingston and wife, Jaime; sister-in-law, Adona Martini and husband, Les, Barbara Leichliter; brother-in-law, Donald Livingston. Also, two special friends: Don (Homey) Pidanich and Thomas (Kemo) Sabolek and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Zampatti Bischoff and niece, Shannon Bischoff Graham.
Friends will be received in BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., Wednesday, June 22, 2011, from noon to 9 p.m., with a service following at 9 p.m.
Military Rites will be accorded by VFW Gold Star Post 7023 and American Legion Post 725, both of Perryopolis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, 2524 Sarah Street, Pittsburgh, Pa., 15203 or the American Cancer Society, 1500 5th Avenue, McKeesport, Pa, 15132-2422.
Refreshments will be served throughout the day at the Perryopolis Christian Center behind the funeral home.
