Bernadette ‘Bernie’ Revak
Bernadette ‘Bernie’ Revak, age 63, of Uniontown, PA, died on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA.
She was born on January 25, 1948, daughter of Cecelia Chambers of Carmichaels, and the late John Chambers.
Bernie was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Westmoreland School of Nursing. As a Registered Nurse she specialized in Cardiac Care and Intensive Care at Montefiore, Monsour and Waynesburg Hospitals.
She was an avid reader and supporter of the Uniontown Public Library.
Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family and many friends; especially her ‘precious’ grandson Ryan, who loved her as ‘Grandma Bern’.
In addition to her mother, left to cherish her memory is her husband of 37 years, Michael E. Revak; their son, Michael John Revak and his wife Jeanine of Uniontown, PA; cherished grandson, Ryan Michael Revak and his brother soon to be born. Also surviving is her brother, John Chambers and his wife Zoe of Carmichaels, PA; two sisters, Loretta Malinosky and husband Robert of Carmichaels, PA, and Suzanne Boyle and husband William of Uniontown, PA; a special cousin, Kenny Murray and his wife Donell of Lexington, KY; sister -in-law, Cyrena Noroski and husband Jay of Pittsburgh, PA.; and many nieces and nephews.
At Bernie’s request, there will be no public viewing.
Her family and friends are welcome at the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, PA, on Monday, June 27, 2011 at 9:15 a.m., when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in ST. THERESE DE LISIEUX ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 61 Mill St., Uniontown, PA, with Monsignor Michael W. Matusak as Celebrant.
Entombment will be held at Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, PA.
