Ruth Elizabeth (Barclay) Uphold, 86, of Uniontown passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at her home.

She was born March 8, 1925 at Deer Lake, Chalk Hill, PA, daughter of the late David and Carrie Elizabeth Barclay.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, James Evans Boogher, second husband, Elijah James Anthony Uphold, a son, David William Boogher, two brothers and four sisters, Arthur Barclay, Russell Barclay, Thelma Ritchey, Betty Brown, Evelyn Raymond and Irene Browning.

Surviving are her daughter, Alice (Boogher) Ramey of Arizona; two grandsons: Richard W. Ramey of Tucson, AZ, David Boogher of Elkins, WV; a sister, Alberta (Barclay) Hawk of Cleveland, Ohio and a brother, Dale Barclay of Farmington.

Ruth had been a former employee of Metzlers Department and Furniture Store in Uniontown for many years.

Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood today 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday until 11 a.m., the hour of the service.

Interment will follow in Sunset View Cemetery, Chalk Hill.
