Grandmother withdraws assault charges against grandson
Prosecutors withdrew all charges against a North Union Township man accused of assaulting his elderly grandmother at their home May 28.
State police Trooper Jason C. Hatalsky said Dennis Ray Saynes Jr. , 29, was charged before Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr. with simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
The charges were withdrawn today at Magisterial District Judge Wendy Dennis’s office at the request of the alleged victim, Betty Saynes.
Hatalsky said the incident occurred when police responded to the Saynes’ residence for a report of an assault.
