Marcella J. Figus Kovell
Marcella J. (Figus) Kovell, age 88, of Buffington, Fayette County, Pennsylvania passed away Monday, June 27, 2011 in the Golden Living Center, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
She was born on Friday, March 30, 1923 in New Salem, Pennsylvania the daughter of Joseph Figus and Catherine (Pergalski) Figus.
Marcella was a member of Saint Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Footedale, The Confraternity of Christian Mothers and The Procopians.
She was a retired Billing Secretary from the Uniontown Hospital.
Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Paul M. Kovell Sr. in 1987; nine brothers and sisters; and by her parents.
Surviving are her sons: Paul M. Kovell Jr. and wife Judith, Indiana, Pennsylvania; Barry Kovell and wife Lucia of New Salem, Pennsylvania and Mark Kovell and wife Kathy of New Salem, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a sister, Claire Moore of Washington, Pennsylvania.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., 20 North Mill Street, New Salem, Pennsylvania on Thursday, June 30, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, July 1, 2011 until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Thomas Church, Footedale, with the Reverend Father Peter Peretti as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Thomas Cemetery, Footedale, Pennsylvania.
A Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
