Edith M. Cole
Edith M. Cole, 90 of Fairchance, Pa. died February 28, 2011.
She was born June 15, 1920 in Kentucky, daughter of William “Slim” Abel and Elma Rutherford Abel.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her infant daughter, Karen Cole; great-grandson, Luke Sroka; sisters, Sandra Abel, Anna Goisse and Eleanor Smith; brothers, William Abel and James R. Abel and brothers-in-law, Jack Bartos and Carl “Fat” Smith.
Surviving are her husband, Frank “Earl” Cole; three daughters: Debbie Faris and husband, Sam, Fairchance, Pa., Patty Shank and husband, Bill, Indiana, Pa. and Judy Johnson and husband, Gene, Punxsutawney, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Kirk Faris and fiancee`, Shelly Eicher, Lori Faris and Mike Strosnider, Leah Shaffer, Aron Shank, Cydney Bezak, Cheryl Kephart, Chris Johnson and Mark Johnson; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brothers: Lester Abel of New York and David Abel of Uniontown, Pa.; sisters: Florence Stark, Baltimore, Md., Marie Williams, Uniontown, Pa. and Linda Bartos, Uniontown, Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private under the direction of the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa. 15436.
