Joseph C. Jenkins

Joseph C. Jenkins, 85, of Point Marion passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2011 in the Uniontown Hospital.

He was born November 8, 1925 in Uniontown, son of the late Jud and Marie McClain Jenkins.

Joe had worked as a cement truck driver for the McClain Sand Company, before opening Jenkins Sunoco in 1961, which he operated for 24 years until he retired. He was also a member of the Redeemed Baptist Church of Lake Lynn and was a life long resident of Point Marion.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Betty McCann Jenkins; his son, French and wife, Sandy Jenkins of Lake Lynn; four grandchildren: Frenchy Jenkins, Nicole Brown and husband, Patrick, Jamie Jenkins, Luke Jenkins and one great-grandson, Gunnar French Jenkins.

Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, Thomas B. Rudolph, Funeral Director and Supervisor, 15 Main St., Point Marion, on Friday, March 4, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, March 5, 2011 until 11 a.m., the hour of service with his son, Pastor French Jenkins officiating.

Interment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
