Nancy J. Thomas, 56, of Brownsville, PA, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at home with her loving daughter, Michelle at her side.

Nancy was born July 20, 1954 in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of the late Robert Miller, Sr.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her companion of 28 years, Frank Barton.

She was a member of the United States Army Reserves and served a year tour in Iraq.

She is survived by her two daughters: Michelle Thomas, Brownsville, PA and Tina Thomas; one brother, Robert Miller, Jr., Tower Hill 2, PA; three sisters: Maryanne Giocondi, Republic, PA, Sandy Gossett, McClellandtown, PA and Debbie Tomotchko, Tower Hill, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in the NOVAK FUNERAL HOME, 515 Front Street, Brownsville, PA today, March 3, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Friday, March 4, 2011 until 11 AM, the hour of service with Pastor Lillian Sparks officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, LaFayette Memorial Park in Brier Hill, PA.

Military Honors will be accorded by American Legion Posts 940, 838 and 295.
