Agnes Marie Lewis Tarpley L.P.N.
Agnes Marie Lewis Tarpley, L.P.N., 68, passed at her home in Masontown, Pennsylvania on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 with her Family by her side.
She was born in Masontown, Pennsylvania on May 15, 1942 daughter of Eugene T. Lewis and Laura Belle (Jones) Lewis.
Agnes graduated from the now former Masontown High School, Class of 1960.
Agnes was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was a Judge of Elections at the Masontown Borough Polls, but loved her role as a homemaker wife, mother and grandmother the most!
Left to cherish her memory are: her husband of 49 years, Arnold L. Tarpley Sr.; one daughter, Michelle Wilder and husband Kevin of Cincinnati, Ohio; one son, Dr. Arnold L. Tarpley Jr. and wife Darieth, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: Arnold L. T a r p l e y III “Tre”, Kevyn Wilder, Joshua Wilder and Jeryd Wilder; siblings: John Lewis of Masontown, Eugene “Popeye” Lewis of Bergenfield, New Jersey, Richard Lewis and wife Pecolia, Masontown, Ira “Moe” Lewis and his wife Legacy of Clinton, Maryland, Laura Belle “Lou” Parnell and husband Moses of Lamberton, Pennsylvania, Lanita “Billie” Lewis and special friend Vicky Smith of Franklinville, New Jersey, and Lowell “Pete” Lewis of Masontown; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and River Avenue, Masontown, PA 15461 (724.583.8811) today, March 6, from 2 to 6 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 7, 2011 at 12 Noon in MOUNT ARARAT BAPTIST CHURCH, 213 Cardale-Orient Road, Cardale, Pennsylvania with Reverend Marvin W. Wright officiating.
Interment will follow in G r e e n d a l e C e m e t e r y Masontown, Pennsylvania.
