Assault hearing scheduled
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. April 25 for Michael R. Ward, 45, of Connellsville on a single charge of simple assault.
State police said Ward was charged following an altercation with John Yanik Jr. of Brownfield on Nov. 27.
The hearing, which had been scheduled for next Monday, will be held before Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr.
