Frances (Argenti) Sobek, 93, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at her residence.

Frances was born on September 25, 1917 in Brownfield, Pa., daughter of August and Grace (Coville) Argenti.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew E. Sobek; two sisters, Nellie Tillman and Sarah Argenti and two brothers, Peter Argenti and Benjamin Argenti.

Frances was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and Catholic War Veterans Auxiliary.

Frances was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Her life was dedicated to the love and care of her family.

She is survived by three sons: Andrew A. Sobek and wife, Arline of Fairlawn, Ohio, Walter W. Sobek and wife, Lana of Uniontown, Pa. and Ed Sobek and wife, Gerri of Uniontown, Pa.; two brothers: William Argenti and wife, Enis of Loraine, Ohio and August Argenti and wife, Eleanor of Loraine, Ohio; two grandchildren: Edward A. Sobek and wife, Deni and R. Michael Sobek and wife, Amy; five great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins and special friends: Grace and Philip Nicklow and Janie Crossland.

Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Pa. on Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 2 to 9 p.m., a Blessing Service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Therese de Lisiuex Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Msgr. Michael W. Matusak as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

St. Therese Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday at 3 p.m.
