Roscoe Lee Valentine, age 61, of Uniontown passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2001 at his home.

He was born March 12, 1949 in Brownsville, son of the late William and Inez Watson Valentine Wingard.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Robert Wingard and a step-sister.

Roscoe was a retired employee of the Fruehauf Corp. and a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, serving with the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Derov Valentine and two sons: Rocky Valentine and a special friend, Tom of Tower Hill II and William Valentine and his wife, Brenda also of Tower Hill II; four grandchildren: Shane, Samantha, William and Robert Valentine; a brother, William Valentine and his wife, Joann of Uniontown; two sisters: Hazel Lowther of Tower Hill and Ruby Zazado and her husband, Jim of Brownsville; two step-brothers and three step-sisters.

Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem today, March 10, 2011 from 6 until 9 p.m. and Friday, March 11, 2011 until 11 a.m., the hour of service with Rev. Roland M. O’Brien officiating.

Interment will follow in the Salem View Cemetery.

American Veterans George C. Marshall Post 103, Hopwood will conduct Military Rites at graveside.
