Elizabeth Ann Hlastala Mosko "Libby"

Elizabeth Ann “Libby” (Hlastala) Mosko, 87 years, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania died on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at the Uniontown Hospital.

She was born Friday, February 22, 1924 the daughter of Joseph Hlastala and M a r y (M i s c o v i c h) Hlastala in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.

“Libby” was a member of Saint Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church, Uniontown.

She graduated from the now former North Union High School in the Class of 1943.

“Libby” was a licensed Beautician and had also been employed at the J. K. Packing Company in Uniontown.

“Libby” was fun loving with a terrific sense of humor. She devoted her life to her Family and led a very happy and wonderful life.

In addition to her parents, “Libby” was preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Darr; brothers, Joe Hlastala, Steve Hlastala, Mike Hlastala and Rudy Hlastala; and a sister, Ann Valigore.

Left to cherish her memory are: her loving husband of sixty-four years, Michael Mosko Sr.; their children: Linda Darr and her husband Norbert Darr III, Greensboro, Pennsylvania and Michael Mosko Jr. of Uniontown with whom she made her home; grandchildren: Eric Darr of Greensboro and Mechelle Haugh and her husband James of Uniontown; great grand daughters: Nia Haugh and Taryn Haugh; a sister-in-law, Ann Hlastala of Uniontown; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 N o r t h Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, Pennsylvania today, March 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, March 15, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint Mary Nativity Roman Catholic Church, 61 North Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, with Rev. Father James F. Clark as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Parish Wake Service will be held in the Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
