Cal U union hosts rally against budget cuts

CALIFORNIA – The union representing the faculty at the 14 state-owned universities Tuesday held rallies on each of the campuses including California University of Pennsylvania opposing funding cuts for public higher education.

More than 170 California University of Pennsylvania students filled out postcards that will be sent to their legislators opposing the 50 percent funding cut proposed by Gov. Tom Corbett that the union says will translate to a 33 percent increase in tuition.
