Howard L. Wade
Howard L. Wade, 84 years, of Kipton, Camden Township, Ohio passed away on Saturday March 19, 2011 in the EMH R e g i o n a l Medical Center following a long illness.
He was born on Saturday, August 7, 1926 in Star City, West Virginia and was a resident of Camden Township for 45 years.
Howard worked as a Machinist for many years at the Lear-Seigler Corporation in Elyria, retiring in 1989.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star.
Howard was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1079 in Elyria, Ohio.
He enjoyed spending time with his Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dalie Wade and Olive (nee Jones) Wade.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Kathleen (nee Wilfong); daughters: Shirley Malinowski and P a m e l a Dobbins both of Wakeman, Ohio; a son, Wyatt Wade of Elyria, Ohio; seven grand children and seven great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Wade of Pennsylvania.
Family will receive Friends on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at LAUBENTHAL MERCADO FUNERAL HOME, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57), Elyria, OH 44035 (440.322.4626).
Services will be held in the Funeral Home on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Ralph Krall, Pastor of LaGrange United Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Camden Cemetery, Camden Township, Ohio where the members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1079 will conduct Full Military Honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
