Helen M. Noakes Layhue
Helen M. Noakes Layhue, 83, Fairchance, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011.
She was born September 21, 1927, in Redstone Township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania the daughter of John Austin Noakes and Pearl Catherine Carr Noakes.
She was employed with the now former Anchor Hocking in S o u t h Connellsville, Pennsylvania for 34 years until her retirement.
Helen was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
Her parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Surviving are her loving Family: daughter, C l a r a Palmer of Fairchance, a son, William “Bill” Layhue and wife Sharon, and a daughter and special son-in-law, Darla and Rick Powell with whom she made her home with in Smithfield, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren: Jim Palmer, John Palmer, B i l l Layhue Jr., Josh Layhue, Joey Bierer, Kristen Bierer and Gregg Bierer; and eight great grandchildren: Jimmy, Shane, Madison, Mason, K a t l y n, Roman, Olivia and Luca and five sisters.
Visitation will be held today (Wednesday) in the FAITH ASSEMBLY OF GOD, 690 Morgantown Road, Uniontown, Pa. from 12 Noon until 1 p.m. The Funeral Service will begin at 1 p.m. with Pastor Stephen Sparks officiating.
Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park Brownfield, Pennsylvania.
