Thomas D. Thompson
Thomas D. Thompson, age 77, of Vanderbilt, Pa. passed away, Tuesday, March 22, 2011.
He was born July 5, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pa., son of the late James L. and Odessa Schulyer Thompson.
Tom was a member of Curfew Grange of Flatwoods, Pa. and Western Pennsylvania Collie Club. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by the following children: Thomas D. Thompson, II and wife, Paula of Waldrof, Maryland, Todd W. Thompson and wife, Karen of Vanderbilt, Pa., Timothy D. Thompson and wife, Karen of Irwin, Pa., Tracy D. Holt and husband, Gary of Farmington, Pa.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one sister, Suzanne Zirot and husband, Fred of Ambridge, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Penny Thompson, two brothers, James and Jack Thompson.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., Saturday, April 9, 2011 from Noon to 2 p.m., the hour of Memorial Service with Mr. Mike Vindivich officiating.
