Barry L. Black, age 58, of Dunbar, Pennsylvania died Thursday, March 24, 2011 in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Born on Sunday, November 16, 1952 in Connellsville, Pennsylvania Barry was the son of Harry Black and Mildred Kingan Black.
He was a member of Assembly of God Church in Connellsville, Pennsylvania.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War who served with the United States Army.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Martin Black; three children: Paula Upton, Barry Black Jr. and wife Amanda, Harold Black and wife Sara; stepson, Michael Leapline; brothers and sisters: Ray Black, Gaylord Black and wife Kathy, Larry Black and wife, Karen, Roxanne Sanner and husband Chuck, Harry Black and wife Tammy, Kevin Black, and Karen Ross and husband Chris; uncles and aunts: Raymond Kingan and wife Patty, Don Black, Arlene Kessler and husband Chuck, Dave Black and wife Connie; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandson, Austin.
Friends will be received today and Monday from Noon to 8 p.m. in the BURHANS-CROUSE FUNERAL HOME, 28 C o n n e l l s v i l l e Street, Dunbar, Pennsylvania. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in the Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Maley officiating.
Military Rites and Honors will be accorded after the funeral at the Funeral Home by General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103 Honor Guard of Hopwood.
