Ruth Gene Lenhart Henschel
Ruth Gene Henschel, age 83, of Connellsville, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011 in the Harmon H o u s e C a r e Center, M o u n t Pleasant, Pennsyl-vania.
Ruth was born Sunday, September 25, 1927 in Youngwood, Pennsylvania the daughter of Jacob Edward Lenhart and Margaret Annetta Murphy Lenhart.
She graduated from the former Youngwood High School, attended secretarial school, and went to Beauty School in Connellsville.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.
She was a member of Saint John’s Roman Catholic Church, Connellsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Edward Lenhart and sister-in-law Lois Lenhart of Irwin, Pa.
She was also preceded in death by her loving husband James E. Henschel Sr. who was a Mechanic for many years in Connellsville and was the former owner of Henschel and Sons Auto Service.
Ruth was also preceded in death by many cherished family members.
Left to cherish her memory are: a son, James E. Henschel Jr. and his wife Michelle and three grandchildren Rachel, Jimmy and Adam and a great grandchild Brody all of Acme, Pennsylvania; d a u g h t e r, P a t r i c i a McCracken and her husband William G. McCracken of Connellsville; and daughter, Catherine A. S w i h a r t and her husband Willis E. Swihart I, Evansville, Indiana, grandson Willis E. Swihart II of Manchester, Missouri and his wife Jenny Swihart and great grandchildren Drew, Jacob and Kara and grandson Seth Mager and wife Jamie Dunlap Mager; and two great grandsons both of Denver, Colorado.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green Street, Connellsville, and on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the hour of Services with the Reverend Chris Stillwell officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Hempfield Township, Pennsylvania.
