Betty Lucille Stephenson Bixler, 85, of Williamsport, PA formerly of Uniontown, PA died Wednesday, March 30, 2011.

She was born September 22, 1925 in Strangford, PA.

Lucille was a member of the Uniontown Great Bethel Baptist Church and formerly employed at the Colorama Book Store.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Everett Stephenson and Mary Orpha Libengood, her husband, Dale Bixler, a brother, Wilbur Stephenson and a sister, Helen Stephenson.

Surviving are a sister, Velma Bixler of Williamsport, PA; four step children: Warren Bixler of Saranac Lake, NY, Joyce Emmerson and husband, Harry of Cottage Grove, WI, Brian Bixler and wife, Mary of Laurel, MD and Vernon Bixler and wife, Jamie of Monroeville, PA; nine step grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; a niece, Ruth Scoggins and husband, Ken and four nephews, David and wife, Debbie, Randy, Ron and wife, Lisa and Mark and wife, Lisa.

Friends will be received in the JEROME W. SHELL FUNERAL HOME, 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave. on Friday from 6 to 9 PM and on Saturday in the Great Bethel Baptist Church, Fayette Street until 10:30 AM, the hour of service with Dr. Neil Hoppe and Rev. David Bixler officiating.

Interment will follow in the LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
