Dilbert L. Ruffner
Dilbert L. Ruffner, 53 of Masontown, Pa., passed away at home on October 31, 2011.
He was born in Latrobe, Pa. on February 10, 1958, the son of the late William L. and Mary Frances (Crawford) Ruffner.
Dilbert was a minister who enjoyed preaching the Word of God and was a beloved husband and father.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by wife Linda (Kapel) Ruffner, son James Robert Ruffner and grandson Logan James Weakland.
He is survived by his wife Patricia (Halbert) Ruffner; children: Todd Ruffner and wife Jessica, Holly Ruffner and fiance’ Michael Tennant, Jeff Grubb and fiancee Melissa Cuppett, Christina Grubb and fiance’ James Weakland and Jonathan Grubb and Mike Presher; 6 grandchildren; brothers: William Ruffner and wife Carol, John Ruffner and James Ruffner and wife Patricia; sisters: Mary Kline and Barbara Fredrick and fiance’ Bob Shaw and his best friend Paul Smith whom he considered a brother and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, Masontown, Pa. on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m., the Hour of Service in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ernest Dodson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the John S. Maykuth, Jr. Funeral Home, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, PA 15461.
Interment follows in Mt. Moriah Baptist Cemetery.
