The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce has honored Brandon Myrga, a junior at Brownsville Area High School, as a student of the month for October 2011.

The son of Daryl and Pamela Johnson and Brian Myrga, he is undecided which post-secondary school he will attend, but plans to study medicine with hopes of becoming an anesthesiologist.

Myrga is involved in student council, The Future is Mine, interact club, ski club, school musical, cross country and track and field.
