Dolores Hamilton Beal, R.N., 86 years young, of Masontown, Pennsylvania died Thursday November 03, 2011 in Country Meadows, Bridgeville.
She was born on Monday, August 24, 1925 in Masontown, Pennsylvania.
Dolores graduated from the Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Uniontown Hospital and retired from the Carmichaels Clinic.
She was a member of the Women’s (Army) Nurse Cadet Corps during World War II.
She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Masontown.
Her hobbies were sewing clothing for her four girls, baking and cake decorating.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Beal; parents, Eugene and Ida Mae Hamilton; and a daughter, Dana Collier.
Surviving are her daughters: Gail Hausknecht and husband Keith of Ivyland, Pennsylvania Denise Vidonish and husband Pete of Cecil, Pennsylvania and Shelley Pinion and her husband Frank of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a son-in-law, Ed Collier of Woodbridge, Virginia; six grandchildren: Douglas Collier and his wife Michelle, Robbie Collier and wife Julie, Scott Hausknecht and his wife Tina, Jeffrey Hausknecht, John Pinion, and Alexis Vidonish; one great grandson, Christopher Collier; and a brother, Dr. Charles Ivan Hamilton of Reading Pennsylvania.
She made her home for the last two years at the Country Meadows Assisted Living Facility in Bridgeville.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and the employees of Country Meadows. It is a comfort to those of us who love her, that she will be reunited with her husband, John, and her dear daughter, Dana.
Friends will be received in BERNARD M. TOWNSEND FUNERAL HOME, 220 South Main Street, Masontown, PA 15461 on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, November 8, from 10 until 11 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. Joan Edgar officiating.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
