Mary Margaret Suchevits
Mary Margaret Suchevits, 69, Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in UPMC Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born Tuesday, September 22, 1942 daughter of Thomas A. Suchevits and Margaret A.(Baran) Suchevits.
Mary Margaret was a member of Saint Mary Nativity Roman Catholic Church.
She was a high school graduate from Mount Macrina Academy in 1960.
After graduating from Waynesburg College, Mary Margaret was a school teacher in the Uniontown Area School District, retiring from the Benjamin Franklin School.
She was a member of the P.S.E.A. Teachers Association, the Uniontown College Club, Excelsior Club of Uniontown, First Catholic Slovak Union, the Slovak Catholic Sokol, and the Sokol Calisthenics Team.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother Joseph A. Suchevits; and by her grandparents, Joseph and Mary Baran and Ignac and Mary Suchevits.
Left to cherish her memory are a brother, Thomas A. Suchevits and his wife Sally of Aptos, California; sisters: Barbara Eckroth and her husband David of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Kathryn Rishel and her husband Thomas of Uniontown; nephews: Jeffrey Suchevits and wife Nicole, Todd A. Suchevits and Thomas Glenn Rishel; nieces: Deborah Eckroth and Kate (Rishel) Cavalcante and husband Tony; three great nieces and one great nephew; several aunts, uncles, cousins; many friends.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME INC., 603 N o r t h Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, today (Sunday, November 6) from 5 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, November 7, until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in the Saint Mary Nativity Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint Mary Nativity Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
Parish Wake Service will be held today at 5:30 p.m.
