Mary Catherine Duff Collins, 88, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Horizon’s Personal Care Home with her loving family by her side.

She was born in Uniontown, Pa. on July 7, 1923, the daughter of the late Hayden Graham Duff and Ester M. Johnston Duff.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Evelyn Taylor and brother Robert Q. Duff.

Mary graduated from Uniontown High School in 1941 and from Westminster College in 1945. She taught at both Ben Franklin and Lafayette Junior High Schools. She retired as the City License Officer on February 1, 1991.She was a 50 year member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. Mary also was a member of the following: the Circle Club, Golden Age Club, Calvary United Methodist Wesley Class, Johanna Circle and United Methodist Women. She enjoyed sending cards as much as she enjoyed receiving them. She loved playing the piano and collecting butterflies. She will be most remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by her son, Keith R. Collins and wife Pam; her daughter, Kathy L. Collins and husband Dan; the following grandchildren: Dawn and Dan Higinbotham; special granddaughter, Kelly Collins and fiancé George Bortz, Paul Collins, Melissa Collins Rexrode and Daniel Keith Collins and wife Sarah; two great – grand-children: Kaitlyn Collins and Dylan Higin-botham; one sister, Betty Flanegan; one brother, Hayden Graham Duff II; many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

The family extends a special thank you to the Albert Gallatin Amedisys Hospice and the Staff at Horizon Personal Care Home, Fairchance.

Friends will be received at the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, PA 15401 today (Tuesday) from 12 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday morning until 11 a.m. the Hour of Service with Rev. Keith Lohr officiating.

Interment follows in Flatwood Bowman Cemetery.
