Planning grants to aid Connellsville business district

CONNELLSVILLE – Several planning grants received by the Connellsville Redevelopment Authority will provide an opportunity for downtown business owners to defray certain costs if they are preparing to upgrade their building.

Michael Edwards, authority executive director, announced Thursday, that the authority has received $25,000 through its partnership with the Fayette County Redevelopment Authority, $25,000 from the Benedum Foundation, $1,000 from the Community Foundation of Fayette County and a $3,000 donation from the Connellsville Garden Club to fund the initiative.
