Supervisors hold tax rate for 2012
CONNELLSVILLE TWP. – Property owners will not see a tax increase in 2012, according to a proposed budget submitted Thursday by officials.
Pending any revisions, the balanced $302,860 spending plan will be adopted at the December meeting.
The financial plan estimates the township will receive $73,000 in real estate taxes at the present 1.033 millage rate; $137,000 in earned income taxes and $3,000 in revenue from the Local Services Tax that will become effective Jan. 1.
The $52 tax will be levied on those working within the township and making more than $12,000 during the year.
