Woman beaten in South Union robbery

State police are looking for two women accused of assaulting and robbing another woman in South Union Township on Thursday evening, with a warrant issued for one of the suspects.

Trooper Thomas B. Broadwater said the robbery occurred around 7:30 p.m. when Stacy Marie Wickline, 25, of Connellsville was walking from Pershing Court in Uniontown to Tuskegee Terrace in South Union.

Broadwater said as Wickline was walking, two women jumped her, knocked her to the ground and then repeatedly punched and kicked her.

Broadwater said the women then stole Wickline’s purse and fled on foot.

Wickline was taken by ambulance to Uniontown Hospital for treatment of multiple injuries, Broadwater said.

Friday, a warrant was issued by duty Magisterial District Judge Michael Defino for Sherika Lashae Brown, 23, of Uniontown. She is charged with robbery, criminal conspiracy, simple assault, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and harassment. Brown has not yet been apprehended.

An unidentified woman described as a black woman between the ages of 17 and 20 with a thick build.
