Jeffrey L. Rider
Jeffrey L. Rider, age 60 of Fairchance, Pa. died Sunday, November 13, 2011 in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born February 22, 1951 in Uniontown, Pa., son of the late Ivan H. Rider and Anna Faye (Welling) Rider.
Jeff was the owner and operator of Rider and Son, Inc., Smithfield, Pa. He was a member of the Fayette Lodge Number 228 F. & A.M., Uniontown, Pa., the Uniontown Lodge of Perfection 14 o , the Gourgas Lodge 32 o , Past High Priest of Union Royal Arch Chapter 165, Past Commander of St. Omer’s Commandery No. 7 of Knights Templar, a member of the York Run Grange, Smithfield, Pa., Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, Ag Preservation Board and was the Georges Township Auditor.
Surviving are his wife Frances ‘Fran’ Filmeck Rider; three sons: Jacob Rider and Joshua Rider, both of Smithfield, Pa. and Joel Rider and Leanne of Fairchance, Pa.; a granddaughter, Jaclyn Rider and an expected grandson, Jace Rider; brothers and sisters: Melissa Swiantek and husband Raymond of Perry-opolis, Pa., Christopher Rider and wife, Kimberly, Kathleen Weakland and husband, Robert and Rebecca Crago and husband, Charles, all of Smithfield, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church Street, Fair-chance, Pa. today from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, November 17, 2011 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Wayne L. Plyler officiating.
Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Smithfield, Pa. A Masonic Service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Family.
