Catherine H. Snyder
Catherine H. Snyder, age 86, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 in the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born on December 25, 1924 in Levoca, Czechoslovakia, a daughter of Michael and Sophia (Hostinsky) Dzurilla.
She was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Church, the Confraternity of Christian Mothers, First Catholic Ladies Slovak Association, the Golden Club, the Circle Club.
She was employed with the A & P Super Market, Stream Line Super Market retiring from V & G Foodland.
Catherine was a devoted Catholic, loving wife, mother, and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley W. Snyder and brothers Joseph Dzurilla and Michael Dzurilla.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Richard R. Snyder, Ronald Snyder; a sister Mary Torrey of Maine, a sister Frances Prah of Uniontown and a brother Lawrence Dzurilla of Uniontown. She was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 603 N. Gallatin Ave., Ext., Uniontown, Pa., today, (Thursday, November 17, 2011) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Friday until 9:30 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said.
A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Stephen R. Bugay as Celebrant.
A Parish Wake Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2011 followed by a Rosary Service by the Confraternity of Christian Mothers.
Interment will be held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
