Child seat check set for South Union
State police will conduct a free child safety seat check Saturday in South Union Township.
Sgt. Joseph D’Andrea said child seat inspections will be offered from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Uniontown Toyota on Route 40.
According to D’Andrea, certified safety seat technicians from the state police will examine child seats to ensure they are properly installed and to check for defects or recalls.
D’Andrea said that at previous child seat checkups, as many as 90 percent of child restraint systems were found to be improperly installed.
