Mary Ellen Groover
Mary Ellen Groover, 83 of Chalk Hill, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at her home.
She was born November 29, 1927 at Ohiopyle, Pa., daughter of the late Roy and Florence Hiles.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John Groover, Sr., her son John Groover, Jr. and three brothers, John, Bill and J.B. Hiles.
Surviving are her five children: Cathy Means and husband James, Bonnie Handricks, Larry Groover and wife Sheila, Keith Groover and Randy Groover; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Dorothy McCoy and Geraldine Hart and two brothers: Bob Hiles and Sam Hiles.
Mrs. Groover had attended Chalk HIll United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood on Friday and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Sunday until 1:00 p.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Terry Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery.
