Elizabeth M. ‘Betty’ Williams
Elizabeth M. ‘Betty’ Williams, age 89 of Spring Hill, Florida and formerly of Uniontown, Pa., died Monday, November 21, 2011 at her residence.
She was born March 8, 1922 in Star City, W.Va., the daughter of the late Arthur Prout and Elizabeth (Grindle) Prout.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Williams, two brothers, Oliver Prout and James Prout, three sisters: Alberta Wigham, Hilda Dehl and Sarah Clulo.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Martha Ann Pittman of Weeki Wachee, Fla. and a grandson Robert Ammirota of Charleston, W.Va.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa. where the family will receive friends on Sunday from Noon until 2 and 4 until 6 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, November 27, 2011 in the funeral home from 10 until 11 a.m., when a service celebrating Elizabeth’s life will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Keith Lohr officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
