Mary K. (Stasia) Cooley
Mrs. Mary K (Stasia) Cooley, 74, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Uniontown Hospital with her beloved family by her bedside.
Mary was born in Uniontown, Pa. on March 30, 1937, the daughter of Marie Stasia.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband John Cooley.
Mary is survived by her daughter Maria Cooley-Gumper and fiance Jeffrey Hamric of Uniontown; 4 Granchildren: Cameron, Kaelan and Mackenzie Gumper and Jewel Hamric, all of Uniontown; Brother, Paul A. Patrone of Uniontown; Sisters: Louise Tate of North Carolina, Felicia Harto of West Virginia, Rita Graziano of Dunbar, Paulminia ‘Jeep’ Rawlings of Uniontown, Donna Morti-chesky and Barry of Smock, Pa.; her dear friends: Nate and Bertha Hodge and Family; her Godchildren; 2 special little friends whom she loved to babysit: Luke and Ava Pappas, and their parents Ted and Melissa.
Mary attended St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. She graduated from Uniontown High School, Class of 1956. She took pride in her cooking, especially making Zeppoli and Ham Pies. She loved spending time with her family.
Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 N. Gallatin Ave., Uniontown, PA today (Sunday) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday, November 28, 2011 at 9:00 a.m., at which time a blessing service will be held in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church with MSGR Michael W. Matusak as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
Parish wake service will be held today at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the 3rd Floor Nurses and Aids for their wonderful care of Mary.
